Little Mekong facing East, during Open Streets, September 15, 2013
The project takes place in "Little Mekong" a cultural and business district in St. Paul, Minnesota along University Avenue, between Mackubin and Galtier Streets. Little Mekong straddles the neighborhoods of Frogtown and Summit University and is centered on the future Central Corridor stop at Western Avenue.

Little Mekong is an initiative of Asian Economic Development Association (AEDA) and its mission is to “develop the area around University Avenue and Western as an attractive destination for visitors and residents; to support and promote businesses during light rail construction; to share cultural traditions and activities, and to create a living, breathing, colorful district for all to enjoy."
